Although explicit bans on mobile homes are illegal according to federal law, some jurisdictions are able to skirt around this law by prohibiting certain roof pitches. For example, they would simply ban a 3/12 roof pitch in their community, which includes almost every stock mobile home made. Thankfully we offer residential style roof pitches not only for modular homes, but for mobile homes as well. If youre having trouble with your local community we can easily build a home that will be in line with the standard they have set for the area. And if you purchase a modular home, since it is actually built to local and state code they will have no reason to prevent you from saving 10s of thousands on your new home. How is a mobile home built in a factory?
One question we are often asked is how are our mobile homes actually made? All our homes are built to a strict professional standard by fully qualified manufacturers. They start with building a steel frame which forms the strong foundation of your home. From there, floors and frames are added, with safety professionals checking them every step of the way. Next comes the roof, which for our single wide homes provide its structural integrity. Our double-wide homes work slightly different, where the whole roof is lifted and attached to your home. After that, our team will work on adding the finishing touches, such as adding tiling, windows and doors. Once everything is in place, all that’s left is for you to make your house a home by selecting the elements you want for your home’s interior design.
