Here are the typical steps for a Mobile Home installation:
Obtain a permit: Some US Counties don’t issue building permits, and others can charge thousands of dollars plus impact fees for a simple permit.
Install a foundation: A foundation can be as simple as a compacted dirt pad, a concrete block or poured crawl space, or a full basement. You may also need to do some site development such as clearing, excavation and fill dirt before the lot is ready to receive a foundation.
Install home onto foundation: The home is placed onto your foundation. This is done manually or with the aid of a crane. This may also involve raising the roof and installing siding on the gable ends for a double wide or modular home.
Connect utilities to home: This process will vary with the availability of existing utilities. For example, do you need a septic system or well, or are there city utilities on site? Is there an existing electrical service or do you need to build one?
Complete the interior finish: Your home installation crew may or may not also complete the interior finish, so this may be a different contractor.
