What is a BUILDER PACKAGE? - Home Nation

What is a BUILDER PACKAGE?

The CAT5 Builder Packages sold by Home Nation include 75% of all of the materials that you will need to build your site-built home other than the foundation.   Unlike the components in this pic, our Home Nation packages come ‘partially finished'. Both will need to be assembled on site, but since our core home module and roof assembly come almost completed, we make the rest of building your home easy! ... It’s just like buying furniture from IKEA: “Some assembly is required”

The partially completed Builder Package makes it possible for the average homeowner to become their own builder, assemble the rest of the home and save tens of thousands of $$’s.

The secret is that 90% of the mechanical systems are already installed (other than the electrical wiring of the rooms that are added) so most of the ‘heavy lifting’ of building a home is done.  All that is needed is to ‘Just add rooms’.

The Builder Package that Home Nation currently sells includes 7 key components:

  1. The Builder Module.  Here the core components of any home - the baths, utility room, furnace, water heater, and kitchen are combined into one 12ft x 20ft ‘Builder Module’.  It includes 75% of all the ‘mechanical systems’ of the home (ie. the Heating/Venting/Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electrical).  The rest of the home is built around this module.

  2. The Roof SIPs.  SIP stands for “Structural Insulated Panels”.  These are preassembled in a factory and delivered with the Module.  The SIPs measure 12x18ft and are placed onto a ridge beam installed down the centerline of the home.  This forms your complete roof system.

  3. Roofing Steel.  Steel roofing is delivered with the roof SIPs to be installed onto the roof once the SIPs are lifted into place.

  4. ICF Blocks.  ICF stands for “Insulated Concrete Forming” blocks.  These are supplied with the Builder Package and are used to build the outside wall of the CAT5 home.  The ICF blocks are core filled with concrete and steel reinforcing bars to create a wall that is fireproof and that can withstand winds of 250 mph. (Hence the name ‘Cat5 Homes’)

  5. Exterior Windows and Doors.  These are delivered to be placed into the exterior walls when the ICF block is installed.

  6. Furnace and A/C.  This equipment is property sized for your location and delivered (partially installed) with the Builders Module as part of your package.

  7. Bath Cabinets. Premier quality bath cabinets are installed and delivered with the Builders Module.  These have hardwood doors and styles, and come with a high end countertop installed with all plumbing connected.
