The main difference between a Manufactured home (aka "MOBILE home") and a MODULAR home is the building code the home is constructed and certified under. A Modular home is built to the exact same State building code that any site built home is built to in any particular State. The Mobile home, on the other hand, is built to the national "HUD" code.
